Brunel University & Trace Solutions Examine AI in the Workplace

Brunel University London have partnered with leading provider of property management software Trace Solutions to examine the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the workplace.

With all the buzz surrounding AI, deciphering the truth from the hype can be precariously difficult. There is no doubt that AI will and is having an impact on our lives, but will it really create an ‘AI Apocalypse’ with millions losing their jobs as they are sidelined by computers?

Senior academics including Dr Rumyana Neykova and Dr Giuseppe Destefanis, both Senior Lecturers in Computer Science at Brunel University alongside AI expert Tom Shrive have partnered with leading Software Management providers Trace Solutions to examine the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the workplace.

Computer Science at Brunel is ranked 4th in London by the Times Higher Education World Rankings 2024. Artificial intelligence (AI) is the scientific study that enables machines to mimic cognitive functions of human mind, such as learning and problem solving.

It has enjoyed a resurgence following the advances of computational power, the availability of large amount of data and the development of theoretical understanding.

Built on Brunel’s strong international research profile in intelligent data analysis, the aim of Brunel’s Artificial Intelligence courses is to provides a solid awareness of the key concepts of artificial intelligence. It develops a critical understanding of the state-of-the-art in this area and the practical skills to create value in its applications to business, scientific and social domains.
